Welcome to the First Baptist Church of Lamar, Colorado. If you live in Lamar or happen to be passing through, please stop in and visit, or join us in Celebration of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Here at First we emphasize the study of Scripture individually and together. To that end we encourage daily devotions. We have Sunday school for all ages at 8:45am. Wednesday evening study is at 6:30pm. Men gather for study on Saturday mornings at 7am. Women meet together Wednesdays at 11:30am. Our middle and high school youth meet on Sunday evenings at 6:00. During the school year we have "Kids For Christ" for children 4 years of age through 5th grade on Wednesday evenings. We also have had small group studies that have dealt with Financial Peace University, Fireproof, Experiencing God, witnessing, and books of the Bible.
Our worship on Sunday mornings begins at 10am. We celebrate our Lord through praise songs and hymns, sharing concerns and praises at prayer, and having a time with the children. During the school year our choir shares.
We are a people who love the Lord, love to laugh, and take seriously mission work locally, nationally and around the world.
It is our hope at the Lamar First Baptist Church that everyone comes to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and has a growing relationship with Him as Lord. If we can be of assistance to you in any way, please feel free to contact us.

Food for Thought
We as believers are missionaries- at home, at work, at play. As believers in Jesus Christ we are to give Him away as freely as we have received Him. We are called by the Lord to share His love, grace, mercy, peace, joy, and hope with others. Matthew 28: 18-20 and Acts 1: 8 are the words of Jesus that give us this commission. May you be blessed as you serve our Lord.
